Supporting Cast

Alliums Lead Furthermore, what lies beneath as supporting cast – if you look carefully – is Oxalis triangularis with its deep burgundy, triangle-shaped leaves, picking up the purple foliage in both the Sedum telephium ‘Xenox’ and the Actaea simplex ‘Brunette’.

Underutilized and enthralling, this oxalis is fully capable of taking over where the Phlox divaricata ‘Clouds of Perfume’ once served as a common thread, weaving the border together.
